My tip for a great accommodation for an affordable and fun workation in Utrecht is The 5TH. This is a hip hostel in the middle of the city, at the Neude. I can be found here regularly because it also has a very nice workspace. Since I live in the neighborhood, I like to work here every now and then, between other digital nomads and have a delicious lunch.

With its vast landscapes, cute villages and serene waterways, Friesland is truly a hidden gem in the Netherlands. In the summer, enjoy a cold beer in a beach bar and in the winter go for a nice hot chocolate. Whatever season it is, a walk on the beach is always wonderful. Believe me, you will immediately forget that you worked that day. During my last work station in IJmuiden, I stayed at Basecamp Tiny House Eco Resort. The combination of sustainability, comfort and beautiful natural surroundings made this a perfect choice for a remote work adventure. The tiny houses are very cozy and functional, and the peaceful environment provided optimal focus while working.

De Veluwe, one of the largest and most varied nature reserves in the Netherlands, is a perfect destination for a work station for nature lovers. With those mega forests, cool heathlands and the chance to spot wildlife, De Veluwe really is a top place to work and chill out.After your workday, you can walk straight into the forest and switch from working to enjoying yourself. This is a great place to be both in summer and in winter. EuroParcs De Hooge Veluwe is a great accommodation to stay during your workation in this beautiful area. I’ve booked a workation at EuroParcs De Hooge Veluwe before, and man, that was really great! The combination of beautiful accommodations, great amenities and the beautiful natural surroundings made my stay here super fun. Whether you want to hike, bike or just enjoy the peace and quiet, this place offers everything for a perfect workation.
